The Detail

This morning came, sun shining, boiling hot, sky blue skies and finished with a small thunderstorm but apart from the weather out came a fantastic shiny car.

Been wanting to sort a friends car out for a while and just get it cleaned, clayed and waxed.

Car came to in an average state, wheels covered in dust and dirt, and body of car general dirt around wheel arches.

Firstly i sprayed Auto Finesse Citrus Power liberally over the lower part of the doors, around the front of the bumper and along the side of the vehicle. Left for 5 mins, then rinse off with pressure washer. That cleared off the any sap/bug splatter on bonnet and bodywork.

Next were the wheels first thing is to use BH Auto Wheel my fav product, sprayed on about 8 pumps per wheel left to bleed for 5 mins, then pressure rinsed off with no agitation brought off 90% of the crap and left me with some faded dirt marks on the spokes.
After all wheels were rinsed another layer of Auto Wheels goes on and per wheel i get my tools out.

1x Daytona Christmas Tree
1x Autoglym Hi Tech Brush
1x Asda aka Mothers Brush but in Green
1x Small EZ Brush
1x BH Brush

Each wheel was followed up with a thorough brush and clean inside and behind the spokes around the brake caliper and in the drum releasing any dirt i could find. For anyone that hasnt used Auto Wheels its definitely up there with the likes of Iron X and Rim7. Ive used both, to say one thing though the only let down that i can live with is the smell which is mild compared to Rim7 and IronX.

Auto Wheel foams and cleans really nicely when agitated acts really well with a touch of water.

After that pressure rinsed off to get the wheels clean and ready for a SF.

Snow Foam time!

Magifoam comes out to play 80% of the bottle used covered easily 2x layers of snow foam around a car like a 370Z, so you dont need much in the bottle, its a nice consistency and lifts dirt off well, also clings to the car well. Left for 5 mins.

2 Bucket Method for a Hand Wash
Shampoo: Dodo Juice Born To Be Mild, 3x capfuls and Noodle Mitt

Even after the snow foam there was still dirt left on the bodywork and needed a hand wash to remove this. Using Born to be Mild, smells great, also is very easy to work with with your mitt as its lubricity is very high, it dosent produce much bubbles and foam when is good, but cleans well. Glides easy with your mitt.

After this was complete i got on with Claying the vehicle the car is from new and only 3 months old. The clay i used was Stjärnagloss Mild & Safe Clay just use water for lubricant.
The cars paint work had some small black containment on the surface that this clay just takes off and cleans nicely. A tip i find works well is to purchase a pump spray gun for the water instead of the normal spray gun. Claying took me about an hour, i have to say even after then, the car look good. Dryed each panel with MF cloth after each panel was done.

SF once more
Rinsed

Dried with MF and Wooley Mammoth and my Beluga.

I decided to use Zaino Z2 for the next stage as i just think its possibly another incredible product thats out there that leaves a stunning shine.
All the wheels were polished with Z2 as well prior to be sealed with AF Mint Rims

I used a soft foam applicator not much is needed and goes a long way, its such an easy product to apply and very good for newbies if your looking for a product that does exactly what it says on the tin or bottle in this case. Covered the bodywork in this and left on the body for 15mins then buffed off with MF.

Final Part was 1x Layer of another great product DJ Supernatural Hybrid which im coming to the end of probably 2-3 more uses from it. Again a must have in anyone's collection.
Started on the bonnet and after cure time of 20mins i felt spots of rain, thunderstorm was coming, i had to get the wax off. Quickly took the cured wax off which is easy off. Rain stopped. I ended up with a nice shiny 370Z

Door Sills treated with Tesco Value APC and finished with AF Spritz

Interior Detailed with AF Spritz and APC on Pedals, Hoovered, and dusted.

Interior Scent was Autosmart Blast 1 shot is enough, Carpets treated with Chemical Guys Apple Odour Eliminator

Thats about it just did finishing touches with a MF.
