Introduction to CPL Racing and services we offer

Just a quick thread to formally introduce ourselves for any forum members who don’t yet know who we are.......
CPL Racing is a specialist Honda tuner and the European distributor for Hondata products, and also Clutchmasters, Quaife, Greddy and Jackson Racing brands. As well as being distributors for these companies we are also dealers and stockist for Tein, Buddyclub, Stoptech, Magnecor, J’s Racing, Defi, Eibach, ARP, Earls, Energy Suspension, TWM Induction, Virtual Racer Software, HKS, AEM, Miltek, Injen, EBC, Tarox, Ferrodo and many more top brands. We also design and develop products ourselves here and the current range includes a high quality FN2 race manifold, FN2 supercharger kit, O2 sims, nitrous bottle heaters, K20 gearkits etc.
As the European distributor for Hondata, we work closely with them on new products coming into the European market, indeed our own Civic Type R FN2 and CPL race manifold was used to develop the Group N ECU, and later a Honda ECU was also developed for our FN2 Supercharger kit. We have our own in-house facilities for socketing and testing of all Honda ECUs as well as diagnostic equipment.
Our dyno facilities cost in excess of £100,000 and comprise a 4 wheel drive Dyno Dynamics chassis dynamometer, temperature controlled and sound-reducing purpose built dyno cell, and a sophisticated extraction system. As well a dyno testing facility we also have our own high specification flow bench and have done extensive analysis and development on the K20 and other Honda engines. We have vast experience of designing and building Honda engines for powerful road and race spec applications. An important aspect of building an engine is having access to and knowing how to use high tolerance measuring equipment. We have invested extensively in this respect and all our engines are built using equipment that is second to none in a clean, temperature controlled environment. We have a fleet of four Honda vehicles of our own which we always use for R&D purposes before bringing any products or services to market. We do not experiment with customers cars, we ensure everything is A1 before we offer it for sale.
We have extensive welding and fabrication facilities and can offer custom built exhaust systems, decat pipes, oil catch tanks etc. Also in-house we have a brand new laser-wheel alignment machine and can set up suspension to its optimum.
You may have seen the CPL Race Team competing at Santa Pod. We are true drag racing enthusiasts and never miss a big event. Our premier car, the CPL Turbo Civic has in excess of 800 bhp and an outstanding record of achievement, currently holding the record for the worlds quickest Civic Type R at 10.1 seconds over the quarter mile. Due to the specialist nature of what we do here, our customers travel from all over the world to come to our workshop here in Kent and use our services. We have carried out supercharger conversions for customer in Dubai, The Netherlands and Belgium, and we currently have a car in our workshop from Denmark, carrying out a full race engine build, turbo conversion, nitrous installation, suspension setup and custom exhaust build.
As well as working on standard Honda chassis cars, we also work extensively on Ariel Atoms, Lotus and any other chassis for which a Honda engine can be used. Here at CPL we built the world first, and only, turbo-charged Atom and have also fitted nitrous to an Ariel Atom brand new from the factory.
We offer most of the products we sell mail-order and can ship to anywhere in the world. We can take payment by debit card, credit card and bank/wire transfer. (UK customers can also pay by cheque or cash). As all ECUs are modified in-house, we can usually turn around an ECU on the day of receipt and ship it straight back out to ensure our customers remain off the road for as shorter timeframe as possible. We use several couriers and will always obtain the most economical quotes for shipping of goods (although if something is needed urgently we can get parts to many locations next day on request).

We receive around 100 emails a day and in most cases we respond within 24 hours (excluding weekends). More complex enquiries such as engine builds may take a little longer as responses need to be tailored to requirements. We do ask that our customers contact us by email (there is a contact page on our website) and not by forum private message, as with so much communication coming in we need to hold it all in a central mail box.
