Almost everyone who had the phone said how poor the battery life was
The battery life on it is really good until you start using the camera, mp3 or video playback. Or if you keep it hooked up to the PC then it will zap power out of it; but with "normal" usage it hits 3 days easily.

no, no, no.

I do not want to hear that now!

Took me blinking ages to decide which one to go for, and now you go and throw the N73 back into the ring

cheers generationgav (really 'cheers', not sarcastic 'cheers' )

I got the E50 from the Office yesterday, seems to be a good little phone, built well, works with the HFT. Claims 9 - 10 day standby time. Email client, MP3, can connect to a bluetooth GPS receiver (why?)

For the record - the D900 is ace (not sure on bat life yet, but 3 days seems right). Works perfectly with the HFT, too.

Cheers Pottsy :P

Looks like it's going to be a while before I find out myself though (see my Rant... )

Hi Pottsy,

My D900 should be delivered any day now (Had to change from Orange to O2 to get a decent deal).

Do you have any trouble with it connecting when you get in the car? ie.. does it ask you all the time if you want to connect?

Cheers mate.

Hurmund - I'll pick up on that (sorry Pottsy!)

It connects and work absolutely fine - and I'm really pleased I got one

And it suits the Civ interior very nicely

The only thing you need to do (once), is that after you've paired it with the HFT the first time, you need to change the default setting on the phone to make the HFT an authorised connection

it then connects without any prompts

That's OK TT...

Couple of things - I've had to turn off the fancy dialling font. Once that's done you can leave the sounds on and turn the keypress beeps off. All a bit odd, but got there in the end.

Battery life is 2 days with use, 3 days without much use.

Just (like 10 minutes ago) got the flashing cable, so will trash, er flash, the phone beyond the point of no return later today. Got the K750 on charge ready.

The Big Ben theme is a goodun

I went for the hourglass myself though - black and moody, like the Civ

Haven't got round to plugging it into the PC yet though

I'm confused Pottsy. Do you mean you're trashing the D900 because you've now got a K750? Apologies if I'm being thick! (what's a flashing cable?)

The cable that comes with the phone allows you to connect to the pc and swap files and so on. A flashing, or unlocking cable, allows you to upgrade the firmware and unlock it - but there is the risk that you can knacker the whole thing if you don't know what you're doing. Like me.

So I have the old K750 on standby, just in case...
