Voice directions

When driving the civic EX, the directions through the audio come really late, eg. when coming up to a roundabout it wont tell you what exit you want until you're about 300 yds away which I feel is too late to be cutting across lanes. I know you can look on the screen earlier to see the symbol in the top right to give you an indication as to which direction you will be heading, but is there an option to get it to tell you earlier. In my current car I get told I will be turning left/right/taking exit in 1 mile, then another reminder when I get closer.

Thanks.

As far as I know you cannot alter the setting for the directions.

I think you will find almost all sat navs are like this , I had a built in one in my Astra and it was the same, the Navman I use in the civic is the same and so is my mates Tom Tom. I thin kits down to the amount of data it is trying to process at the time,ie its just told you to enter the roundabout and then its trying to figure out where you leave the roundabout by which time you have driven past it. I find this is usually the case at complex (more than three exits) junctions or roundabouts.

Just have to learn to live with it then. The kenwood (DV3200) I had fitted in my previous car was absolutely brilliant and that was a few years old. So it seems this system has gone backwards!

Thanks for the replies.
