PGM-FI Reset
Hello, this is my first post and I'm hoping that someone can help!
I've just fitted a towbar (single electrics) and was feeling rather pleased but that was short-lived because on starting the car the "PGM-FI" "Check System" warning light is on and won't go off! I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer and wonder if anyone can advise on how to reset? The handbook suggests starting and stopping the engine a few times but that does not work. I guess something was triggered while connecting the electrics. Any advice? (Apart from that I should have paid up and taken it the dealer in the first place!) |

Not wishing to doubt your skills, but is the towbar wired correctly, properly earthed etc. Did you disconnect the battery when connecting up the wiring.
I am not sure, but maybe disconnecting the battery for a while might reset the fault. Or you might try this Read (and clear) diagnostic error codes with no special tools |

Thanks for that. I'll try disconnecting the battery before scrunching up the aluminium foil. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm having doubts myself about my electrical skills although I've not had any problems before!

I've tried the link above to "Read and clear Error codes" but no errors apppear ("DTC NO") and disconnectng the battery hasn't worked. Looks like a trip to the dealer afterall!
