Trip computer

What happens after 99999km or 99999miles to the trip computer. Does it go around and starts from the start (=0) or does a new number pop in?

I guess the "reset point" is really 999.999 miles (or km in continental) and then it won't bother us any more

Well folks, just consider the deisel engines, they are made to stand an easy 500 000 km, you can do that in 10 years driving if you use the car for proffessional reasons.
I am quite suprised that a Honda would not provide more digits to there trip computer, my old Opel (Vauxhall) Astra had 7 digits making it possible for acurate reading when hiting the 100 000. Honda should be able to answer to that !

I think some people are getting a bit confused between the trip computer and the overall mileage count. The overall mileage has 6 digits, so can go upto 999,999.

That's right ! in fact i got confused about the 7 digits in my astra, it had 6 digits making it possible for a 999,999 which is enormous !
