This thread is about: New Sat Nav Disk ?, it's in Electronics at the Honda Civic forum Civinfo; The latest version is 3.23 which comes on 2 discs. Most recent cars should have come with 3.22 (also on 2 discs). Not quite sure ...

Not quite sure what they have given you...

and no, your question is fine in this thread

Does he not simply mean v3.05? This is my current version. Looking for v3.23. Anybody help?

Phil.

Sorry my mistake - the version I have is 3.05.

My main concern however is the the dealer is trying to convince me that the new version is for systems without voice activation. All of the information I can find suggests that the satnav systems on civics all have the voice activation feature - or am I wrong?

My fear is that the car had origally had V 3.22 or v3.23 but the discs have been swapped at the dealers before they sold it to me

I have v3.23 on an EX that has voice activation. It's what the car came with.

I think you're being told a story...

3.05 was (if I remember correctly!) the version before 3.22, so it could be that your Civ just missed on a new version.

However, if I were you I would still push for the latest ones and see how far you get

But yes, definately a story - 3.23 (and 3.22) both work absolutely fine with our Civs

This is my thinking.

Actually version prior to 3.23 (3.22) was 3.06 (not 3.05)
I got 3.06 in my civic that was delivered in april 08.

I vote for a swap between the 3.23 and an older version.

When I got my car, I told the stealer the DVD wasn't up to date. Obviously he wasn't aware, but as I told here before, when I asked for an update, he told me he migth be able to swiftly swap my disc with a newer one from a newer car !!!

new discs fine

I got mine in original packing, brand new, updated car with 3.23 and works a treat. not to bad for £95. and probably a lot less than stealers...

remind me what are the benefits other than newer maps!

Yup, I still think that £95 is still too much, though considering the other car I looked at; a mondeo sat nav is around £250 (and none on ebay) I suppose it is better.

the new disk has some small changes to the interface of most note to me that when you come up to roundabouts is that the display shows the actual roundabout animation rather than a generic one.

However it still screws up the routing back to my parents house... Totally misses an obvious turn off before the house and forces you to take an exit 1 mile further away and then double back to the exit! :S

3.06 in new car

Picked up my new EX this afternoon and found it had v3.06 Sat Nav DVD. Dealer previously told me that it would have the latest version so he has now gone away to find out what has happened.

Your new DVDs were probably swapped with the car delivered previouisly that did not have the latest version. That is how I got mine which means the new car still in the showroom originaly had but no longer has the latest disks!

This is a sort of never ending cycle which causes untold bad feeling from new Civic owners. I find it incredible that over the last three months it has not yet been sorted.

They may just keep on going until one owner is none the wiser and it's then it's back to normal.

Still in discussion with my dealer - who says that they have checked the other new Civics in stock and they have the old version - they say that the new version seems to be coming with new CRVs?

I'm still holding out for the latest version - wish me luck!

If I dont get any joy from the dealer then it's an email to the MD of Honda UK, Ken Keir.

I'm sure I've seen a dealer post here that 3.23's are in the latest Civics

I would think that Honda CS should be able to answer what version is coming out of Swindon right now ?

I was told yesterday after picking up my new Type R on Monday that the 3.23 disk is only for the new Accord at the moment, not for the Civic, told the dealer that other civic owners have recieved this disk, but he was adamant that was the info he had recieved from Honda CS.

It was delivered with ver 3.22, and I obviously tried to get the latest disks, quoting this site as the source of my information, or misinformation as he put it?

So who has had ver 3.23 delivered with there new Civics?

My understanding was that v3.22 was only in existance for a short while - had a bug in it which was updated by v3.23 earlier this year.
