The one I got of ebay was a sealed brand new version. You have to be very careful on ebay. If no pics and it does not say it is an original it is probably going to be a copy.
Good luck on getting money back. |

If you paid via PayPal get in touch with them.
Also can anyone upload send me the binaries (not the whole DVD, just the WinCE parts)? I'm still trying to hack stuff together, and kinda hoping that the new disk has a new CE kernel on it. |

I wonder if we could go further & add some homebrew apps. Do you know if the binaries are signed or protected ? Edit (Pottsy): Edited to remove stuff that is not in accordance with the rules. |

I know that some experts have looked at the DVD in some detail and the only modification that was found was a change to the bootup splash screen.
I will concur that in the UK asking for the nearest Pub only to be offered a route into France is not really helpful. Obvioulsy they haven't heard of the local Dog & Duck |

There is plenty of space on the West Europe DVD - its 7.11GB. All the turn pictures are just jpg's and can be edited or replaced with your own pictures. More fun is to change the wav files!

on the new disk to find your nearest "pub" you have to say find nearest "other" as the pub part has been droped. not a good idea mixing a pub with driving.

When upgrading you just remove the old DVD and insert the new one. You will then see a message on the Sat Nav screen "Installing New Software - do not switch off". This takes about 5 minutes after which it starts up exactly as before.
