I have just checked with Honda in Japan.
All the details are here オールホンダ販売ホームページ

The next major Sat Nav upgrade will be version 4.00. You cannot have 4.01 before it has at least been launched which is not expected until April 2010. There will be mapping updates before then but not a total software re-write.

It should do, and it should be version 3.22

assuming you're buying new

in that case, no, it almost certainly won't sorry!

you'll probably get 3.02, which is pretty good, just not as good as 3.22

but keep an eye on this thread, and buy yourself some civinfo stickers to console yourself in the mean time

Not only do you get some benefits from doing that, if you get lost someone else from in here might spot you and help!

Dealers eh ?

In the glovebox, at the top is a 'DVD Player". In this unit goes the Honda SatNav DVD.

With no SatNav DVD I doubt the unit will boot ?

You can determine the SatNav disk version via the normal menu's without having to dig into the diagnostics.

From memory >

Press the central dash control wheel then move it to the right, then right again, after rotating it clockwise the bottom one is "Software Version".

From memory though and I'm getting on a bit now

Donエt be confused.
Believe Civinfo, not the dealer.

An EX with integrated satnav will need a disc in the glovebox DVD player.

I've been dying to see what version of Windows CE is in use on this one (specialy after seeing that the firmware version is updated significantly).

Dying to try get some other software working on the SatNav unit, seems a shame to have a perfectly good WindowsCE device and only run Sat Nav on it.

What's even worse, I bought my car 3 weeks before this version was released, and Honda said no to changing it for me!

Not good.

Off the 3.22 disc.

Yes, I was intriged by those when I was perusing the DVD yesterday

I thought they might be for another Honda model that can produce the spoken alerts when the error is detected ?

I thought I had gone deaf yesterday but I then realised she hadn't got in the car yet

@charlas : You find me at least sorry if not very angry : I got the car yesterday and checked DVD version first thing (at the dealer's)
And unfortunatly it's a 3.06 !
It's anoying at a minimum. And you know what, when I told him the guy proposed me to give me a COPY when he get one
What kind of behavior is that !
