No! I've never noticed mine coming on automatically - I've always had to set it myself - Jan '07 1.8 EX

yes,alsothe wing mirrors heat up as i noticed them steaming in the rain,not cold enough for frost though, 57 type s 2.2

The 2.2 diesel has 'auto on' feature for the rear screen, when below 3 degrees
The 1.8 and 2.0 petrol do not

many thanks robbo51,i thought this was a fault,so saves me going back to the dealer again,they dont seem to know about this auto function, cheers.

This auto on feature on the diesel - I'm sure mine was on this morning and the temp was +7C.

window shatterred this morning whilst parked for over a hour!
AA looking at now, the remains of the screen is warm/hot to touch!!
Honda say it cannot happen

Yes, mine auto defrosts and it is an june '06 2.2 EX (as do the side mirrors...)...

I need to correct my post - it seems to clear when temp is 0 - 5o, but strangely not when it's frosted up ??! Noticed it this week whilst heading to work that it was clearing, whereas last week during the cold snap, it wasn't

7 degrees yesterday morning started car and right away saw the rear screen start to demist
