Satnav Quick Sat Nav and Bluetooth question

Hi I am looking at getting a new civic as my next company car, I have to spend an age on the phone but the numbers I call are rarely stored in my phone as I get the message to call the client via email with the number in the email. Does the built in bluetooth cut in and silence the radio if you dial the number from the phone rather than using the voice activation?

Also I am looking at the EX with the sat nav as standard, if it runs of DVD does it use the main CD player ie if using sat nav you can't play a CD?

The sat nav is a sperate DVD unit located in the glove box freeing up the radio cd for your music.

I've not tried dialling the number directly from the phone yet, however you can dial the number via voice activition by saying the numbers followed by dial.

Candle, if you call the number from the phone it transfers the call to the handset automatically (well certainly did with my old phone, not tried the new one) although you can transfer calls between the hands free and the phone. One suggestion made on here is to call and then hangup the call using the handset (obviously in a cradle, not in your hand) and then use the redial command, which dials the last number the phone called.

Thanks for the help people, if anyone has tried it with a nokia I would still be interested on how you got on. Basically as mentioned work email me all my support calls that I have to make to my nokia phone and when reading the email the nokia automatically highlights any phone numbers that it finds in the body of the email, once highlighted you can call that number by pressing one button saving you from having to type the number out. Due to us having so many clients I can't enter them all into the phone so can't use the voice system.

based on the assumption that you have a cradle, and are not breaking any laws by holding your handset whilst driving...

The easiest method I've found is as described above.
Hit the 'one button' to call from the nokia handset.

Leave it for (literally) a second or two - after it has started to call, but before it actually rings
Hang up (on the nokia handset)

Then, press the HFT voice button on the steering wheel
say 'redial'

Watch in amazement as the HFT system tells the Nokia to redial the last number it called - ie the one from the email.

There is another way, which involves making the call from the nokia handset, then somehow transferring the call into the HFT system.
But I haven't got round to reading that part of the manual yet

I have tried this, but you have to wait until the call is in progress to do it, you can't hit dial and then transfer it straight away, the HFT tells you there are no calls in progress.

The answer to this is yes if you use the "redial" method described in here
