iPhone

Can anyone tell me if they have tried pairing an iPhone with the Honda HFT? if so has it proved reliable, as I'm thinking of changing my phone shortly and like the iPhone but I must be able to use it Hands Free.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Your so wrong!!!! lol The iphone is just an over exadurated ipod, thats why people think its good, take someone elses design and ideas and stick ipod on it and people will go mental for it.

Quite a sweeping statement, based on of course technical fact?

I think the iphone is a far superior phone. I tried the N95 and just did not like it at all. But then Ive never been a fan of Nokia stuff.

I agree. I had the N95 for 3 months and all it did was freeze when trying to end a call, freeze when sending a text message, in fact all it did was freeze! Admittedly my phone bills were alot cheaper, but that helped save for the iPhone lol.

the thing i didnt like with the ipone was not being able to blutooth photos etc to my p.c, and i cannot use it as a mass storage device like i can my 8gb n95. it is a very nice phone but could be better. this will come with the next version. the 1st n95 is not very good compared to the second version ive got garmin mobile satnav on it and its great with the built in gps receiver.

one good thing with the iphone is that you can buy it from the o2 shop take it home and unlock it and no credit checks or monthly bill. this is one of the reasons it was so popular in the states when it was released. i sold a few on ebay but then everyone jumps on the bandwagon and they get cheaper & cheaper so then theres no money in it after paypal & ebay fees.

I want an iPhone but they are not out in AUS yet.... only one network over here supports EDGE and we probably won't see it until Apple release a 3G version...

.. but I REALLY WANT ONE!!!!!

I have the parrot 3200 and the only problem i have with my iphone is when its on "visual voicemail"- it cuts out the stereo sound every 5 secs (think it must be something to do with the visual voicemall polling). Do you have this problem with the honda HFT?

Nope, works perfect for me, as does the iPhone in the car.
I also know quite a few Nokia N95 owners who would love to swap to an iPhone. The iPhone may not have all the features that the N95 does, BUT it does the things it can do SO much better.

Got my iPhone the other day... Love it. First phone I've had in years that didn't disappoint me in some way as soon as I got it.

Wouldn't swap it for ANY Nokia no matter what you offered me...

I had an N95 managed to return it under the 14 day returns policy, it was too unreliable.

The iphone works 99% of the time with the HFT, sometimes outgoing calls answer in the phone and do not transfer but not so often that it is a major problem.

Personally I think the iphone is the best phone I have ever had, it does most of the things I need it to do and it does them with style! Looks like this year should bring some new models of it too.

If your iPhone is Jailbroken you can install a program called SwirlyMMS from the installer - it does MMS...

Also, There is an App called "WeTools" which adds the ability to forward Contacts and SMS messages - 2 major things missing from the default iPhone setup.
