Question

A question, Can the Civic satnav receive traffic information (TCM) and can you load it with safety camera data ??

yes, and no, respectively

note - TCM answer (yes) is for UK, hopefully a fellow owner from Sweden will 100% confirm for you

My Two cents

Sat Nav FOR: Display options, voice control (especially find nearest.....), zooming, split screen, ease of use and configuration.

Sat Nav Against: Only major street names shown, Logic and calculations of estimated time for trip waaayyyy off (my old Tom Tom was uncannily accurate with this to be almost spooky) , Maps waaayyy of in Southern Ireland with all its new road construction.

Plus points :
  • Large screen easily visible
  • No fiddly windscreen mounts and trailing wires
  • TMC
  • Voice control (optional)
  • Instructions via muted radio speakers
  • Speed sensitive volume
Minus points :
  • Dodgy routing (but it does eventually get you there)
  • Questionable POI database
  • Inability to add user POI databases (especially safety cameras)
  • Rubbish 'user set' icons

I said 'find nearest pub' and it offered a pub in Wales - a couple of hundred miles away. I also said 'find nearest Bank' Only a couple of high street names were loaded, and despite I was in Warwick, it said my nearest bank was in Birmingham! It works ok on 'find nearest car park' and 'nearest restaurant' finds a competent list. An accountant friend was dismayed to discover a rival restaurant next door to one he accounts for was on the database. I assume that retail organisations have to pay to be loaded into the database. Thats why my nearest pub is miles away!

I find the 2008 Version 3.22 is not at all up to date. Just today it knew nothing about a whole shopping area (Waitrose, B&Q etc) at Shoeburyness in Essex. It just had me driving in open fields with no roads.
