Total Closure

Does anyone know if the Civic has a "total closure" system?

By that i mean if you forget to close your windows after leaving the car you can push the lock button and all the windows close.

My mate showed me this on his Audi A4. He could close and open all windows in his car just using his keyfob. He also said that a similar system has this on a friends Jag and also on his old Vauxhall Vectra.

Now if it worked on a Vectra surely you can do it in the Civic!

Nope had it on my BM, really miss it as I often forget my windows open when I park at uni and it's nice not having to turn the key to put the window up.

there is a kit if i remember for sale on ebay which will work on any car, it closes the windows when the car is locked via key fob.

It would be a good feature to have wouldnt it. I had a Mondeo that did it, and our pool car at work does also (Focus). Very handy on a hot day to start getting air in to the car!

That's a shame. I think it's these little things that really sweeten car ownership for me. Things that you don't realise your car has until you own it for a while.

At least I can be happy that my car autolocks when driving :P

Not quite the same, but you can close the windows after taking the key out of the ignition (as long as none of the doors have been opened.) Works for 10 minutes after you take the key out of the ignition. The blinds for the glass roof can also be worked in this way.

This is the first thing I asked the dealer (when I was ordering) I asked the dealer to get the windows hooked up with the windows. He says that, "slowly the window mechanism will weaken " and recomended me not to do it.

I really like this feature as my wifes VW Polo has it.

Can't see how? otherwise other cars wouldn't do it either, it's probably down to the civ's crap battery not having enough power to close the windows remotely too often.
