Post HBT Speaker

I have just picked up my new s type and had the HBT kit fitted.
The system mutes the radio but the audio is only out of the passenger side door.
I have just phoned the dealer who informed me this is correct.

On all the other cars I have had the incoming call is routed through all the speakers.

If the honda kit only comes through the passenger door £350 is an awful lot of money to layout.

I would be grateful if any can confirm if the dealer is correct or they have fitted it wrong.

Thanks
Rick

That's correct. I think it's to stop interference.

What does the Parrot kit do, anyone?

coming out of one speaker sounds a little odd.

My Parrot kit comes from both the front speakers, which is more than adequate.

Yes.. it does that.
It basically plugs inbetween headunit and speakers.
When you have a call, it mutes headunit, and you can hear relay 'click'.
What it does is re-route front right speaker over HBT, which has small internal amplifier.

And yes, it's quite odd way to do it.
