Electrics front cig power install options?

HI, Just got my CTR and am loving it entirely.
I've just bought a portable DAB unit that i'm intending to wiring up to a connects2 unit. The DAB mount is powered from a cigarette lighter charger, but i'd like to conceal this by wiring the mount directly into the charger.

Does anybody have any suggestions for this?I'd like to keep my cig charger installed so was thinking:
a) Split the pos/neg cig charger cable and install a splitter on each wire, one
to the cig charger, and the other terminating at my dab unit.
b) Remove a bit of the protective sheath around the pos/neg cables and
solder a new cable to these.

I'm not an electrician by any means and was wondering whether anybody had any better ideas for this.

You could wire straight into the fusebox:

I've wired mine to an additonal lighter socket in the centre glovebox but could probably move that now as I've also done the hard wired Snooper trick from Pottsy.
