Auto Wipers Fault?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has experience a similar problem. I recently had to jump start my CIV after the battery died, and just today I used the auto wipers for the first time since and they are totally broke! By this I mean they are not sensing rain and are just running intermittently and if you turn the sensitivity up they just run constant even when the rain stopped!

They also don't do they 2 swipes which they used to when I flick the stalk to auto

I'm due to put the car in for warranty work next week for a new drivers door hinge, and window seal, and get an annoying rattle fixed but was hoping there was a remedy for this perhaps?

Also does anyone else's centre console slidey thingy (where the drinks holder is) squeek like mad, this is really annoying me too.

Thank you in advance.

Maybe a little trip back to the dealer who will maybe reset things for you. I have a 1.8 ex and have never had to jump start it in 7 months of ownership.

Yea it squeaks but how often are you moving it? I personally don't move it so often so it doesn't bother me at all.

Open it fully and spray some silicone lubricant on the runners.

Strange, good old WD40 usually cures everything.

Guess that means more profit for Honda then, I will have to go and but genuine honda silicone spray I guess, unless the dealer considers it warranty and sorts it out.

For the squeak, nothing's like silicone spray. For the wipers, well I sure hope that's just a latched processor and not a scr€wed up one...
Try the "Peugeot method": disconnect the battery for 2-3 minutes and try again - everything should be back to normal, if not, go to the dealer but don't tell him about the jump start

Unfortunately WD40 on plastic is only a lubricant for a very short while, then it has the opposite effect as it congeals.

as I've found to my cost a few times
