Electrics HFT not responding

Last couple of trips out I can't use the HFT to make calls, the system just pauses 10 seconds and says "pardon", I can receive incoming calls and the other person can hear me. The voice control works, just not the HFT when outbound.

Anyone else had an issue with an unresponsive HFT? First time in 2 1/2 yrs, the week after its 50,000 mile service.

Think it's pretty sh*t TBH - loads of people have trouble getting it to understand anything - if you look under the other current thread (Go to new posts and it should be in the top 5) and there's a link to a diagnostics screen on the Sat Nav if you have one - that may help.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer if it has become worse all of a sudden...

All fixed, just turned the car off when I got home and the next morning perfecto! Although saying that just got a new phone from work - Nokia 6233 - if you try and make a call too quickly after hanging up, it drops the link to the HFT, and will not reconnect without putting the car through a power cycle.
