Bluetooth Hands Free Kit Installation

I have a CIVIC Sports 2.2 Diesel - excellent car in every way except when it comes to fitting a bluetooth hands free kit! I would love to have one of the new parrot kits only accessing the back of the stereo seems to be a problem and installers dont seem sure about the connection on the back of the stereo. Has anyone out here had any joy in a sucessfuly installation?

Thanks folks, i've ordered my cable from SIO - am not totally convinced about stripping my dash - but dont think i've any option.

Does any of our Northern Ireland readers know of any fitters locally who would fit such a kit? Me being a big chicken!!

If you read the thread HOWTO get into the dash, it will probably go easily.
Stripped my car yesterday to install my parrot carkit. Unfortunally I didn't had the right cable to attach to the back of the radio, so I have to do the trick again, when the right cable arrives.... I am going to use the KRAM ISO2CAR 86131 cable for attaching the carkit.

Hello,

My parrot-kit ck3000 works perfect with the adapter iso2car 86131.
You can connect the adapter without taking the radio (headunit) out of the dash.
When you want to make a phonecall or when you receive a call the kit disconnect the speakers from the radio and put the call on the front speakers.

Now im interested!

Thanks honda4ever - i've done a quick search for the iso2car adapter - cant seem to find any suppliers. Have you any ideas on where I could purchase one? And how does it work without removing the dash?

Hello Bannagh,

It's necessary that you get into the dash, but you don't need to take the radio out. I ordered my parrotadaptorcable at a local parrotdealer (no internetorder possible).

Thanks folks, you have all been a great help. Now to get the install done! Shirt sleeves up, hack saw at the ready (maybe not...!)
