Can't access customisation menu for multi-information display
HI,
I have a 2006 2.2EX and am unable to access the customisation menu. I've gone through the Civic manual and followed the instructions (with the car parked and the ignition on press and hold the 'i' button by the steering wheel) but the customisation menu doesn't open. I just get the icon with a line through it. Should my car have this feature and if so, what am I doing wrong? I've looked through the Wikis but haven't found any reference to this - could anyone please advise? Many thanks Dave |

Really hadn't previously noticed... but having just checked, no, the handbrake light doesn't show! I assume that will be the problem, won't it?
Any suggestions where to look for getting the handbrake light to work? |

There is a connector for the parking brake circuit, that is down by the side of the brake lever.
You'll need to remove the centre section to get at it unfortunately, but this isn't a huge job Sounds like maybe it wasn't re-connected properly at some point (possibly when doing the handbrake recall...) |

As TT says, or your dealer under warranty.
If the light isn't on, the car thinks the handbrake is off and won't let you into those menus. |

Many thanks for the replies - and also for the EPS info (separate post).
I've been in touch with my local dealer and got the car booked in. Hopefully everything will be sorted... Again, many thanks Dave |

Hi Guys,
Lurking on here for a bit now getting some good info. Just picked up my Type S last week and was going through the handbook when I saw section about customising using the multi-display but I am also having an issue accessing the menu. Handbrake is on, light for handbrake is on but it still won't let me into the menus. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? |
