Is it us ?

Now this is wierd !
The day we picked up our new type s when went shopping to spend the discount we got !
Only thing is it looks like our key sets off some stores merchandise protection systems !
Partner Amanda so embarrassed she started not going in shops ; whilst this could be a wonderful idea it didnt help get the christmas pressies bought!
Has anyone else heard of this .
we swapped the key between us and yes it does seam to be the key that sets it off
your help would be appreciated
Steve

Never had this, and I've been carrying the key around for 9 months now.

Um, I'd like to know what those decharging wands actually do before I let them try it on my keys! Remember there is a transponder for the rolling code immoboliser in there, and all the gumf for the remote locking.

I don't know much about it, but I'd be worried that the key will not work in the car after...

Never happened to me with my car keys, but it ALWAYS happens with my company ID badge.

It's a credit card type piece of plastic and you just wave it in front of a sensor to let you in secure areas... This will always set off the alarms; very embarassing!
