Still can't get this to work - wonder if I have older software. Climb in, key to position 2, press and hold the door lock button (it pretty quickly locks the doors, then after holding it for a bit it applies the deadlocks with a second clunk), remove the key, test, nothing.

Thats how I did it, it did take more than one attempt.
I cant deactivate it. Has anyone actually turned this feature off yet?

Mine sounds like it clicks to lock, clunks to deadlock about 1 second later but THEN if you keep your finger held down it will try to lock the doors again; it's this you have to wait for.
If this is what you're doing then please ignore me.

babelfish really is VERY shockingly bad at that kind of thing - it's designed more for single word translations rather than full sentences.....

My auto door locking is working. Took 3 attempts to do it though. This is the same system that was in my Clio 172 and our C3 i.e. put the ignition on, hold the door lock button, take key out, re-start car (neither car had this in the manual either).

I'm fearful that the electronics are shared with a french car. Very fearful.

And how do you deactivate the system on the Clio and C3 ???

My Volvo S40 also had this system if this makes you feel any better basegreen - I know what you mean about French electronics. Never had any problems with this particular system on the Frenchies though.

Never turned it off to be honest BigBoysToys, but we still have the C3 - somewhere - I'll check it out see if it works in reverse (the system not the car!)

I was told that on the Honda, to deactivate you have to repeat the process but with the drivers door opened.

Stuff like this on VAG cars is done via the comm port using the software they use... surely Honda have a similar system, or is there a freemason-esque combo for each hidden/dealer set option?

Looks like a useful tool, but it only locks the doors

It works first time for me,
All doors closed, Ignition on (engine not running) and press and hold the door lock central lock button (the one on the door panel beside the window switches)for about 5 seconds, you will hear a sound like the dead locks locking. Turn the igition off and the system should be set, drive over 10mph and it locks the doors.

To deactivate this, as has been said; do the same thing with the drivers door open.

I've used it a few times, but it's not great as the doors are always locked and you need to unlock before trying to get out.
