Spoon Type R or JDM Type R cluster....
I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but I figured it is electronic. My question is, does anyone on here have any connections or able to get me either of these clusters? I don't think the JDM Type R cluster is available yet because I don't think the car was released, but I want to get an idea of who I can contact to get one of these. Please helpe me out everyone. Thanks!
P.S. This is going in my USDM Civic, just in case anyone was wondering. |

Does that PA mean you're from across the pond?
If so the Type R Civic, I believe, is totally different in USA. Sorry if I'm wrong. "Isn't it weird that your parents tell you not to play with fire, then on Nov 5th*, give you bangers and matches and say 'Have fun'?" *Independance Day for our American friends Charles H. |

Yep, they have the saloon (sedan) and coupe and they are totally different to ours from what I remember.
Also they don't have the hatch at all. Don't think that the instruments would fit either as the dash is a different design to the EU/UK/JDM ones. And I might be wrong but I thought that the type-R was only going to be released in the EU???? My guess is, if you want the instrument cluster, you're either going to have to contact Honda UK or US and it will cost you an arm and a leg!!! |

Thanks for the replies everyone. What I am talking about is the actual gauge cluster. It will fit, I have already checked that out and my buddy actually did all the research. There is NO Type R in the US, they screw us all the time.
Here is a pic of the USDM cluster, it just has a tach, like the Spoon and Type R cluster.... ![]() I just want to know if anyone has any contacts or if anyone could contact Honda of Japan for me. I am ready to pay whatever it costs. Please help a fellow member from, "across the pond." |

I'll have a word with a friendly techie at my Honda dealer, see if he knows of how it could be "gotten" - might cost a few mighty dollars tho...
So you're just wanting the INSTRUMENTS, not the whole thing? OK.... If I can't do that, will the part number(s) do? And you got the SI.. I actually like them, I heard they're not far off the type-R in terms of poke...? |

The SI is pretty quick. It comes stock with 197hp, I think it's ps for you guys? But it's a nice, fun car. I actually ran a 14.6 in the 1/4 mile completely stock, so it's no pushover. Thanks for the help man. |

Hi again....
Had a word with my tame techie yesterday - he tried to look up the parts on the Honda UK database, but they're not listed on there as the car doesn't come out till MARCH.... As soon as they do appear, he will get in touch with me and then we can set the ball rolling eh? I was unable to get a part number too - there's nothing listed yet!! |

Any update man? I saw that a couple Rs have been released. Also, you think you could get me a quote on a set of the front seats? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
