Well, mine doesn't look like that. I'd go to the dealer and ask to have a look at a demonstrator's display, then go and show them yours. I doubt it will fail (just looks like the contrast is set wrong), but they may offer to fix it if it looks really bad.
Of course, the "really polite" approach will probably get you a result quicker than the madman approach. |

there are something like fingerprints on the dot matrix at the four corners, not at the glass. and they are permanent. they look almost the same when you press the lcd panel of a laptop with your finger. I hope a new photo will be more clear sry for my english cause i am not english |

It does look like the contrast is set too high - does it get better when you turn the brightness down?
(The "dirty" bit was a joke - like the display is showing where your car is dirty - difficult if English is not your native language!) |

No these marks do not go away while playing with the brightness knob. I cannot give an explanation about that. The dealer is aware about the problem because i got in to the car with the dealer for the test drive. At that time the dot matrix display was horrible ( at the midlle of the screen the brightness was far worse) and i said to the dealer that i cannot accept this car. After having a big talk (not arguing) i agreed that we should ask for a technician's opinion to see if it is smthg that can be fixed on the spot or smthg that needs further attention (dash dismantling etc.). After driving it for 2 or less km to get to the service department the contrast got better (as it is now)!!!! The explanation the technician gave t0 me was "its a new car...maybe a capacitor didn't charge..." which it sounds a bit silly to me. anyway here in greece honda gives 7 years quarantee. If anybody has similar problem please post Thanks for the replies in advance |

I had a loan car with the very same thing, I only noticed it on the external temperature reading part of the display, it was brighter at the edges, I also though perhaps it was caused by fingers pressing against the LCD or what ever type of display it is.
I think it would be worthwhile us all having a quick look the next time we are in the car, just in case the problem exists to a lesser extent in more than just this vehicle. I will have a look and report back later. |
