Sat Nav & Phone install
After taking advantage of all the installation guides on this forum, I thought I'd share some ideas of my own.
I installed my PDA/TomTom mound as follows using the ventilation grill mount. To the right is the magnetic Krusell mount used to hold my phone ![]() The next image shows the PDA (HP IPAQ rx5935 Travel Companion) and the Nokia phone in situ: ![]() The 12v lead for the Navigator was routed via the edge of the glove compartment and behind the centre console (accessed from the passenger foot well). Here, a 12v socket was pushed (it is secure behind the console) and leads from this were routed to the 12v socket in front of the gear knob. I had to remove the console surrounding the handbrake but the wires simply pushed under the plastic and I didn't need to remove any other unit. |
