SatNav scale

Just an observation......

Just been changing a few setup bits & bobs in the carpark at work and I got fiddling with the SatNav.

My home is 21 miles away, via road, but in 6 mile scale I can see my home icon (and the location is correct).

So even giving a bit of leeway, in 6 mile scale I can see for 18 miles !

I have noticed this 'feature' on other scales as well.

It's 6miles per inch (or something like that..) not 6miles edge to edge on the screen... I think...!

just to confirm my suspicions....

In the bottom left corner of the screen - there is a line summat like [----] next to which is the scale reading... the line is about 1" long indicating 6mls per inch
