After looking around on the internet reading reviews on all the different sensors, I decided to have some Quanan parking sensors fitted to the Civic, due to the good reviews.
Reviews: http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/oth...st_report.html http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product...sing_aids.html To Purchase: http://quanan.co.uk/ Very happy with them and would highly recommend them. They have a one year warranty. Unlike the cheap ebay ones they have many accessories and it is easy to get support, replacement parts or sensors etc. You can self fit if you wish. I personally used one of the recommended installers on their site. Gave them the paint code and they colour coded the sensors before coming round to fit them. Also had the 1 second delay module added so the sensors dont turn on when shifting from park to drive and vice versa (it is an automatic). I have the shield shape sensors as they were the ones recommended for this bumper but they come in round and oval shape too. Alot cheaper than how much Honda dealers charge but just as good. Will definately have some fitted to the Hybrid when it arrives. Nickp. Last edited by nickp8; 13th April 2007 at 07:53. |

The installer I used offers a home fitting service which was £95.

Are Honda offering any explanation as to why the sensors are not available for the Hybrid?
Our dealer fitted our Hybrid with Honda Civic sensors (admittedly rather expensive), they work perfectly. Haven't a clue how they got the cable running from front to back of car. Only thing I can see is bit of cable running into the space beneath the rear parcel shelf. The speaker sits alongside one of the stereo speakers with beep coming through speaker grill.
