one of the girls (Gwen? or might have been Sarahjo) had to get 'a german lady exorcised' from her Civic a few weeks back as I recall?
She got '2 hunky blokes' to do it at the dlr - you may or may not aim for the same solution |

just not all that well AL56 - by 'tried' is that 'done what it says in manual and that doesn't work', or 'help!' ? |

The conversation with the wife yesterday went something like this. "Where are you?" "On the M5" "You sound really clear" "I'm at a standstill!" "Oh" Mike |

I had the official fix done by West End in Dundee but was told straight after that I still sounded crap today. I think it sounded better when I did the official Civinfo fix. I might rip the Honda fix out and "dangle the mic" again.

I had a chance to check out the official Honda fix today on the M23. My wife informs me that it sounds pretty much like it did with the Civinfo blutack fix... but perhaps a little 'softer' (whatever that means!).
This was at speeds up to 65mph; any faster than that and my wife reported an 'electrical interference'. This is not really a problem as I tend to pull over into lane 1 when I get/make a call anyway. In addition to the blutack method, I removed the black material on the bottom of the mic housing and angled the mic slightly towards the driver position. These adjustments were still apparent after the Honda fix. |

Got the fix/mod done this morning - how strange that such a small amount of foam makes such a difference!!
And what a difference it makes - doing 70(+) on motorway and I can talk (not shout) and be heard clearly - even by my Welsh parents!!! The dealer gave me copies of the Honda printout regarding the mod - I'll attempt to attach below - hope it helps someone out there! |

Honda quote: "One strip of foam is sufficient to repair a number of vehicles"
So form an orderly queue at the dealers, as it seems alot of people might be complaining about the quality of the HFT! |
