Satnav Serial Number ?

Hi,

I have a new Civic with a Pioneer F930BT Satnav. Pioneer are offering a years free "safety camera" subscription if the unit is registered but to qualify, I need the serial number. I don't have this and Honda do not seem to record it either (despite them having it for two weeks to try and solve a problem with it!).

Is there a menu selection or magic button combination which will show me the serial number please?

Its stamped on the headunit chasis !!!!

It shoulld also be on the radio card which should be in your service wallet.

Which is buried in the dashboard

Given that the car was two weeks late getting to me due to a fault in the connections to it, I really don't want to try and rip it out just for the serial number.

Nope. Where the radio code should be, it simply say N/A.

Still hoping there is a simple way of getting this.

Well, for anyone else who needs this, I THINK I found it on the settings screen. There is an entry which says device ID. I put this into the Pinoeer web site and it reconginses my unit as a 2010 model, so I guess it worked.

Still no idea how to get the camera updates though. I'm hoping I'll get an email soon to tell me.
