Battery New battery

I think its time to upgrade the battery on my 07 type R as the starts are becoming slightly laboured and the keyfob is starting to struggle to unlock the doors from a distance. (new batteries in both fobs).

Worth checking the online price at ECP, there are plenty of 25% discount codes knocking about.

Thanks for the tips, I usally drive about 6 miles a day 3 miles to work and 3 miles back, I give it a good run on the weekend but I think I often struggle to keep the battery fully charged (in the summer I usally ride to work but a bit cold atm).
I think I would benefit from a larger capacity battery, I will have a look where suggested in the first response to see if they do the larger batteries at a cheaper price. I will probably order one tonight, do you think I would be better with a larger capacity or just a new standard battery? I know loxy recently changed his battery and he seems pleased but I'm not sure what he went for.

The larger capacity battery should be able to provide more engine cranks. But if ultimately your journeys are so short that the amount of power consumed is greater than generated you will still eventually have a flat battery, but just not quite so soon.

ECP for buying batteries is quite frustrating. You need to tell it the car make/model then it suggests suitable batteries. If you know what larger size and capacity battery will still fit the engine bay you have to guess what make/model car this was taken from. I'd just call the branch instead
