BlackVue350 incar camera

Received my incar camera today, this is a great bit of kit. Had one in my last car but sold it, realising my mistake of selling it I brought another one. Managed to fit it today and took a few pictures, would recommend it. These days with idiots on the roads this is worth its weight it gold.

Lots of UK sites sell these for around £150 but I ordered mine off Ebay came from a seller in Korea called cool-guys, I paid $158 dollars which works out to be £82 pounds this inc international delivery arrived in a week via parcel force. Just checked again with the current exchange rate its gone up to £104.50 but still a big saving.

Looking good mate, I got one of these for mine a few weeks back. However, I fitted mine a bit lower because the wipers don't clear that part of the windscreen so the camera would be out of focus when it gets dirty

Lovely bit of kit though

looks good!
I'm trying to install something similiar in my car at the moment, although its a seperate DVR.

Can I ask where you routed the cable and if this thing can auto continually record when you start the ignition? do you know if it supports loop recording? (oldest video files get overwritten when SD card fills up)

lastly, does it stamp the speed information on the video? and if so can it be turned off?

cheers

yeah im looking for one with
mini hdmi
gps location tag - can be turned off
mph speed tag - can be turned off
date / time - can be turned off
720p recording
sd card slot
auto erase

the early models would record up to your say if you had a 2gb card and stop. then you would need to eiother swap SD card or plug into PC to format . the new ones automatically over write the oldest recording

Speed tags not a good idea if you like to put your foot down, 1mph over the limit and you will be liable.

Not strictly true, we have trackers in all our Ambulance response cars, they update every 30 seconds with location and speed. To stand up in court one would have to prove the acurracy (inaccurracy) of the unit and also whoit was that was driving at the time.

Cool bit of info. There's an ambulance station less than a mile away from me. I always see them speeding, have had a little bit of fun with once before (obviously I mean the ones that aren't using their lights and siren)

fair enough but if they aren't accurate what's the point?

Personally I'd prefer it without, if it's not accurate you can't use it prove you are NOT speeding either?
