Electrics: blue foot light

hi,

i have the blue foot lights in my car but if my headlights are on, then the blue light dimms. When i open my door, the blue light is much brighter again.

Is there any way possible to have it the other way around? that the blue light is much brighter when lights are on, and dimms when door open? I would prefer it that way

Can i just switch connectors or so?
Hope someone can help me out here?

this happens along with your dash lights, due to them being more dazzling and distracing in the dark, hence why they dim down. I'm sure you could have it the other way round, not sure whether it would be wise or worth it to do so though

had it on my previous car, was much more beautifull with strong lights
