Look at the display in this pic from a Honda website.
The on-board computer display in the centre of the rev counter. What is it showing? |

It looks like the 'realtime' MPG ( or litres per 100km) indicator to me, but with added 'bits'.
Maybe, for photo purposes, they just turned all the display options on and that's why it looks familiar, yet slightly odd. |

My instantaneous fuel does not look like that.
It is just a bar that moves. I don´t have those car images. I have km/h car (ie litres per 100 km on this display), is it different on the mpg cars? |

It looks a bit like a radar showing distance to car infront. Was wondering if this display was a feature dropped before it went into production. Or as you say the whole thing might just be fake and made up by some marketing people. |

I'd go for prototype software.
Using Hollywood style zooming in magic: proto-trip.jpg Compared to mine: proto-trip2.jpg |

My Trip Computer doesn't look like this?
While on the Hondamentalism website, I decided my wallpaper needed a change, so I downloaded the one of the interior of the CTR (from the drivers seat).
However, while looking at the picture, it seems the display in the centre of the Rev-Counter is different to mine? Is anyone elses like this, or is this maybe a picture of a prototype / unreleased software version? ![]() |

Apart from mine not not being red it looks just like my EX display for the actual MPG reading.
Is the CTR different then ? |

Nope. Different to mine - pretty certain mine has a petrol pump at the top left of the computer display, rather than the car shape. (March 07 Type S) Wouldn't imagine the Type R would have a different computer to the rest of the range, except for the lighting.
Discussed before in this thread. http://www.civinfo.com/forum/electro...-computer.html |
