Please help me people!!! Should I buy one in red, or in blue?

I think blue may complement the reservoir socks and the blue oem bits on the left, but red looks better on a black car, and lights out the "S" on the engine...

Not yet but he will be doing. He has contacted me telling me that he's going to have one at the end of the month when he's got the money. I'll get the measurements off him then.

The main difference is that mine comes with 4 gauge (thick) cable and gold/nickel plated terminal rings and battery terminal stopping any corrosion from the contact points.

It's also as OEM looking (unless you are after red or blue) as possible.

Thx. Right so the d1 kit for Example comes with five earth points. So which does yours not earth and why? Is it because this fifth earthing point is not needed

Due to the thickness of the cable I supply it does not require 5 points of contact. (I consider 5 points of contact overkill anyway)

I only used 4 of the 5 cables supplied with the d1 spec kit.

The car is a good conductor. The issue comes from the thin earth cables from the engine to body and body to battery. You only need 3 thicker cables to solve this. Battery to body, battery to engine and engine to body at the other side of the engine.

What do you mean by blank?

All you will need to do once reconnecting your negative lead is re-set your clock (1 min job)

I only had to reset my clock. In-built sound systems tend not to require radio codes.

I had a TT last and everytime I disconnected the battery the radio would require a code to be set. So the Civics dont need this right?

Correct, nothing to be done but reset your clock.

Feedback from yours truely

This morning I fitted Parscos kit ( sorry it's been a while Scott - horrid weather here) Initial thoughts, well crimped and finished, no stray end etc, not too blingy- RESULT for me anyway.

I replaced the terminal on the battery and the short lead to the chassis nearby and the longer lead a spare thread on the RRC inlet manifold ( I don't run a cover), the other lead i linked from the offside chassis above the headlight to the motormount ( doubled up on the oem location) of course rubbing down all the contact points.

Fits like a glove.

Now I have been keeping an eye on my battery for a while, mainly when starting it has taken 3-4 seconds to catch holding the starter button, I have checked and gapped plugs etc a few times in the last 6 months and decided the battery was struggling ( magic eye is ok-ish). This kit has definitely made it easier- started the car 5 times today already and it is quicker it also seems to settle to a steady idle quicker coming to a stop etc.

I will keep an eye on things over the next while and report back any changes etc- a race battery is on the cards after winter , it gets a thumb up from me anyways

Thanks Scott, hope this Feedback helps.

Stephen
