[Parking] Anyone Interested in this?

Just got a mailshot from Maplin with this in it. It looks like a cheap way of getting sensors and a camera and a monitor. I'd have a look at it myself if I didn't have them already

Good Find Smiffy.
I wonder if two of 2 sensor packs were purchased, they could be wired up to the reversing lights as they state and the box that comes with them has its own beeping sound built in. Dont fancy having to wire up to the car speakers. ??
Dont really need the dash mount either.

I was looking at systems like this, but decided that it was too much hassle to run a video cable from the back to the front.
I did have a look on ebay at some of the similar systems that use a wireless link from a camera at the back to the monitor in the mirror which would negate the wiring problem.
I don't know how much of a delay there may be between putting the car in reverse and getting a picture on the mirror/monitor....perhaps the camera is powered all the time the ignition is on and it signals the monitor when to operate?
I haven't done anything yet, prefering to save the money and use my eyes!
