FK2 - Where to fit an ultrasonic device against martens?

In a FK2 facelift 09, where and how would you fit this ultrasonic device against martens, please?
(Sorry, I cannot find an english version of that page)
The size of this device is 4.72'' x 2.17'' x 1.06''.

It is meant to be fitted with 4 screws and to replace its two AA batteries (which are said to be running for about a year) you have to remove 4 more screws located at the bottom of the device.
Therefore you have to remove the device from the car before you can access the batteries.

I'm looking for a way to fit this device as easy as can be.
As for now, my only idea was near the air filter.

Do you have any better ideas, please?

Keeps animals out of the car when it's in "hibernation".

How about the cover under the bonnet metal? If it's got enough purchase to screw into that might work.

Exactly!
It makes some ultrasonic noise that's very uncomfortable for martens, but you cannot hear it, because the frequency is too high for human ears.

Since it gets its power from two AA batteries, it cannot drain the battery of the car.

Below the bonnet?
I'm not sure, if the device won't be making some rattling noise there, whilst driving.

I think, the heat of the engine should be considered as well,
because that device is made of plastic, not metal.

Ah, I did not think you would leave it fitted when driving.
What about behind the plastic grill? It would be fine there also from heat I think?

Do I have to remove the grill to fit this device?
This would be a disadvantage,
when the time has come to replace the batteries.

EDIT:
Oh, let me add, there's a blinking LED on the device, which should be kept visible, to see if it's still working.

Hmm. I think in that case you're probably best putting it where you first thought as it's accessible and easily visible.

Yes, I tend to fit it there, too.

It is not at all easy to find some place around the 1.8 engine.
Honda designers should have added just a few more inches there, shouldn't they?
But I'm not sure, if I really want to know, what the Civ would look like then...

I just had the idea, hopefully, I won't drive any neighbourly dog mad with this device.
