new colour coded sensors fitted

hi guys as the visibility is very poor on the civic i decided to get after market sensors fitted they came back a few days ago sprayed crystal black to match the car.
big thanks to Syx's guide [HOW TO] Install after-market parking sensors (3-Door)
completed this in under 3 hours and was lucky enough not to have one broken clip so that was a bonus , the only difference was i did not remove the rear bumper and found it extremely easy.

found a perfect small image online with the spacing guides - Click the image to open in full size.

and used 1 meter long cable ties which i had from work and very flexible but still flat and rigid and almost pushed the cable ties through the hole i drilled and almost straight through the gromet hole.
here is a couple of pictures of the finished product excuse the dirty car its sunday and she will be gleaming this after noon as i wash it every sunday.

would also like to thank every one on this forum who gives comments and advise which makes every little mod we do so much easier.

They are from a eBay company I wanted the sensors sprayed and not just a generic colour as I wanted a perfect match I know you can buy them cheaper but preferred to pay the little extra to get it right first time.
I also didn't fancy mounting a display so just went for the beeping ones

Wire them as you would the rear, but you will need one with lights or a buzzer that sounds like something else.

Just hook them into the reverse light wire or its fuse.

If you are doing to hook them into the reverse wire you may need 2.5meters of basic wire.

Great work mate, and good job on finding the drill locations - it's drawn on the other side of the bumper but this negates the need to remove it!

Absolutely love my rear ones, they make the world of difference. Not sure on the front ones though, as they'd have to be enabled below a certain speed to be of any use (if they were active on reverse they'd be useless surely?) and no idea how you'd go about that...

My guide that OP has linked to (here: [HOW TO] Install after-market parking sensors (3-Door)) details the process with photos so you can see how difficult it will be - it's not the easiest thing to do that's for sure.

You can always spray the sensors yourself if you'd prefer but not sure what the cost and finish will be if you're not confident!

Look great man, good job.

I'm really interested in this. Had a look at your guide too Syx, very helpful if I do indeed get these!

Does the guide apply to 5 door? I am no handyman whatsoever when it comes to these sorts of things so would definitely need another pair of hands/eyes lol

It's very similar, the only difference is that it's easier to access the rear light feed for the power connection as there's less interior trim in the way!
