apple iphone works

Just a quick post to say that my apple iphone is currently paired without any issues to my HFT.

Really is an amazing stroke of luck that it works. I have had to do not special tweaks or pairing instructions. I just paired it as it tells you to on the website.

Hello All.
Sorry to be a prawn...
Please could you point me in the direction of "the website"?
I tried to pair my iPhone with the HFT tonight, following the instructions in the Civic manual. No joy...
Very happy to hear that someone has got it to pair, please could you help a (relative) newbie???
Pretty please...

Thanks Czechplastik. That link tells me that the iPhone works, but not how to pair it. The instructions from Honda worked for my Sony Ericsson W900i, but not for the iPhone. It's clear from the start of the thread that it's possible - but how?
Thanks for your help on this.

Ok here is how I paired my iphone:

1. Enter Phone set up in car and select add phone through voice control as normal.
2. Give the voice control you 4 digit pairing code, it will then search for mobile phone.
3. Select Settings on the iphone, then Bluetooth.
4. The iphone will then find the Honda car kit and ask for the pair code, enter that and your done.

Gentlemen & Ladies of Civinfo...
Many thanks for your help in getting my iPhone paired to the built-in HFT.
The instructions on the website are slightly different to those in the car printed manual.
After setting the pin code by voice on the HFT, the voice prompt will ask if the code is correct. At this point say "YES" (as instructed on the website). Do not say "ENTER" as instructed in the printed manual. This is the only difference I made between last nights failed attempts and tonight's first-time successful effort.
Hope this helps.
Once again, thanks to everyone who helps on this forum.
Enjoy your Civics - it still makes me smile after 34K miles.
