Iphone compatibility?
Hi, i've got a type r on order for delivery in early december with SatNav/HFT.
Im also considering adding the ipod cable as another extra (im aware of the limitations of the Honda supplied cable). Thanks to hondahandsfree.com I know the iphone works with the Hands Free Telephone, and im sure the ipod side of the iphone works with the car. My question is do the two work at the same time? In other words if im using the phone as an ipod listening to music and I get a phone call will the bluetooth HFT over ride the music to allow me to use the phone hands free as normal, or would i have to pull the cable out of the phone to use it? I know the Honda supplied cable locks normal ipods, so thats the reason i ask. Im basing whether to get an iphone on this, as it seems i can have one device for both tasks if you see what I mean. Any help will be greatly appriciated! Thanks in advance..... |

I cannot speak about the iphone, but i have tried a similar thing with my MDA Compact 3 and a bluetooth headset in my van, not my spaceship, if i am listening to music off it and the phone rings, i get the music in the headset untill i pick up the call, then it works fine. I would imagine the same would happen on the HFT system as it basically is the same as a headset.
