When I purchased my Type S 1.8 last month, I really wanted one with Navi. But, when told I would have to wait an extreme amount of time, i decided to settle on a car without Navi.
Does anyone know where I can purchase the Honda OEM Navi aftermarket? Is too dificult to install? I've done some searching and don't see it offered anywhere. Thanks! |

Have read somewhere in this forum that it is rather (very) difficult.
It is advisable to go for aftermarket navi, eg TomTom. |

If you don't go for the double-din option (but a portable unit instead) then you might want to check out the next issue of Auto Express as they'll be testing 100 different units and rating them accordingly. May be worth a look!

Although nothing is impossible, it would probably be cheaper to sell your car and buy another one with the built in sat-nav.
So, if you donīt have the factory sat-nav - go for an aftermarket solution. Having said that - I am very happy with my factory version. |

I appreciated the option of a portable GPS, but they are very small and uncomfortable, there are ways to mount them, connect them to power, and so on. The option of double din I am not angry, but in my street there are many thieves and I would take very little installed, which is why I am suggesting to install the factory, but I leave more expensive than a double din.

The double din head unit has to be mounted into a steel caddy that is supported by the bulkhead onto the firewall - if a local thief has the skills to remove it in under an hour, they deserve it!

Not if you want DVD, Video CD, a scalable audio solution, DAB, Video iPod and MP3 input via USB, and a touchscreen SatNav with TMC to blow Honda's rather average offering out of the water, no.
