Auto door locking?
Hi, I was just wondering why the auto door-locking feature doesn't work on my car using the procedure described on the forum? I have a Nov 2006 EX and can't get it to activate. Is there a reason for this or does it mean only the dealer can do it via a diagnostics cable? My wife would really like this feature for herself and our little-un.

Mine is a late July '06 EX and I set it myself both for locking and unlocking. Follow the instructions in the 'How To' section carefully (are you pressing the correct buttons???).

Yes I tried it using the button on the door handle next to the mirror switches. I turned ignition to position 2, then pressed the lock button and held for 10 seconds (only heard 1 click though), then turned to position 1, then removed key.
Am I doing something wrong or should it work? By the unlocking feature, do you mean your car unlocks itself once you've removed the key? |

It unlocks when you switch off the ignition (which used to wind up my wife when she was the passenger).
If you are following the instructions exactly, then it's probable you do have an 07 model. Check this out by using Pottsy's method: Quote:
