Speed Reading Driving in Reverse

I've noticed I get a speedo reading when driving backwards... Is that normal?? If so how cool is that??

I do not know if that is normal , but I also get a reading driving backwards

Yep - same here

Must be a feature of the digital speedo, normal ones can't get beyond the little needle post at zero.

When I read the subject I thought this was a trick where the driver speed reads a book whilst driving fast in reverse. Something that you might have seen on 'You Bet' with Matthew Kelly.

if you have autolock enabled, it locks the doors whilst going backwards too

Yep. Even the speedometer on my bicycle does this. The reading I mean. Not closing the doors...
It's because the speedo just counts pulses, coming from a sensor I think. It's probably more complicated to design something that doesn't read when going backwards...
