I used to get about 43 on that trip, but it's now done 48. I still can't work out how people get well into the 50's, though. I set the cruise to 75 for most of the way (actually 71), although I do know my mpg computer is slightly pessimistic, and an indicated 48 is prob closer to 49.

Maybe my Civic was a bit 'off-tune' before the remap, but the difference remains incredible. Just pressing the pedal slightly at 75 in 6th, and it's up to 90 before you can think.

I was unsure before I bought it whether the 1.8 was not the way to go, and I was not totally convinced I'd made the right choice with the 2.2 before the remap. But now !!! ... I'm totally sure the 2.2 is best

As well as a TR, I tested an Edition 30 GTI before I bought the SGT, and beleive me, the remapped 2.2 must be a match for the edition 30.

I'll have to try a drag race with the Crossfire (although I don't think my wife would be up for it!) and compare. The Crossy has an 0-60 time of 6.5 secs, so it should be a good comparison.

So what if someone wants to try and rubbish Celtic. The proof of the pudding....

(Best thing is it should pay for itself inside 18 months, due to economy boost!)
Sounds fantastic - glad you are happy with it

What are Celtic quoting on BHP / Torque for the remap??

I'm getting more and more interested in this by the day!

They quote 192 bhp and 320 torque.

(I was told they did test one example that peaked at over 200 bhp on the dyno.)

I think you'll find there already is one Chris, although such prices seem to be dropping a bit generally, so it may be worth asking for an update.

Maybe they'll at least carry the 10% December discount through into the New Year for forum members, so that £337.50 is the ongoing 'group buy' price.

I guess the best way to get max discount is to have two or three done at the same location. (Maybe they could have a stand at the next Yorkshire meet!)

They did mine for £325 after a mate said he wanted his A4 doing at the same time.

Chris if you want another run in mine, just shout.

So it's best to inform your insurance companies of this type of modification. The link above states:

"In terms of insurance, you are quite right that most insurance companies will try to wriggle out of having to cough up the dough whenever possible, so it’s best to check with them by letter that your insurance will continue to be valid in the event of making a claim."

What sort of response have you guys had from your insurance companies when you have notified them of the re-map.

Although not a re map,I put a tuning box(370 quids worth) on my Alfa 147 mjet.

My insurance company-Direct Line, wanted to know the percentage increase in power-10%, 20% or greater.I told them 20,that being the amount the claimed power increase worked out at.I was charged an addional £60 approx. for the remainder of the time on the policy.

I could be way off here, but I believe I've seen elswhere not every insurance company will support (quote) for a tuning mod such as a re map/tuning box.For anyone serious about having it and rightly wanting to keep a valid policy,an enquiry to their provider might not be a bad idea before going ahead and then finding they also need a new insurance company

Hope this is some help

Indeed - £299.00 would be a good group deal price...

To anyone that has had a Celtic Tuning remap - perhaps you could get their boss to log on here and help us out?

Chip Tuning VW, BMW, Audi and Alfa Romeo - Angel Tuning are quite good, seen some good comments about them and celtic on fiatforum.com. Angel also offer some good discounts for group buys.
