Just to let everyone know - pulling away from lights in 3rd gear doesn't work...!

Just causes a rather violent stall and lots of angry drivers behind you! lol

If you are determined to do it - it will work at least with the 2.2 but it doesn't seem to make much sense 'cause it's bad for the clutch, and 2nd is soft enough if you are doing this because it's slippery

Of course you can pull away in third if you are prepared to abuse the clutch, second isn't too bad though.
