CTR Oil

Hi
Sorry if this has already been covered but i have had a look

I picked up my CTR at the weekend and want to get some oil incase i need to top it up. Now i have no idea about oil and what all the numbers are apart from that they have different viscosities. What oil will be in my CTR and what should i buy to top it up if need be?

Thanks in advance!

If you asking for oil to top up until first service oil change it is best to ask your dealer which they recommend. Here in my country they put original honda 0w-20 oil.
On first service oil change which is on 12000 miles or one year, people usually put full synthetic 5w-40 oil.

Owner's manual explains what oil, viscosity and ACEA grade, to use. Some garage try to sell most expensive oil they have, which is may not be required.

Yeh the owners manual tells me what viscosity oil i can use, not what viscosity oil is in the car. I just wanted to know if i should top it up with the same viscosity oil that honda put in it on the production line.

i bought a litre of oil when i got mine, they checked the computer and i was given 1Ltr 10-40w part synthetic oil A1.

Checked the book and it looks like the right stuff. £6 a litre, bargain, or was it a trade price cause i picked the car up that day?
