Turbo Wind Generator

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question,

What turbo is fitted to the diesel civic and where is it situated in the engine bay. Stupid question actually, it's gotta be at the exhaust manifold, but what turbo is it?

Thanks,
Andy

it is indeed under the xhaust manifold, short pipe then into the turbo.

Don't even think about trying to get at it though...

heat sheilds, draining the engine coolant, and that's just the start!

You might be able to see it from underneath the car - maybe

I can't recall what type it is though, sorry

Honeywell-Garrett GT1752V family. You'll find it in a couple of BMWs and Renaults here.

Just thought I'd add my tuppence worth and say that turbo's of the same family, are not interchangeable between different model cars. So a GT1752v from a BMW or Renault would not work in a Civic.

However, this has got me thinking about my next possible upgrade.......
