Engine Rattle
I have noticed a loss of performance and a change in the engine sound of my Type-R following filling up at a garage last week. I noticed tonight that the engine sounded more wheezy, and when parked up idling I lifted the bonnet to hear a rattling noise in the engine. Obviously I am going to get in contact promptly with the garage but I wanted to check whether anybody had run into similar problems and what the outcome was. Would engine faults be covered in the warranty? Is there any maintenance that needs to be done on the engine (e.g. change the oil) in the first 8 months?
Thanks in advance. |

there is a low oil pressure indicator which is when it is too late !!!! (bad decision by Honda) VTEC thrives on oil it won't engage properley when the oil is cold or the oil level is low keep an eye on it mate |

well if its that easy to reproduce, then i suggest a quick stop to the dealer and let them them hear the noise. They'll probably know whats going on and you can make an appointment if necassary.
Good luck with it |
