Running In - Motorway Use
I was reading on the wiki about running the engine in, it said about not using the motorway for the first 200 miles.
I go on holiday less than two weeks after picking up my new car and will do around 500 miles in four days, will this be a major problem? I am very gentle with my cars anyway, I never floor the throttle or rev the engine over 3500 - 4000 revs. Any comments? |

Also, 2 weeks should be plenty of time to run the car in... You will want to drive it! |

Yes, I'll probably spend most of the first few days doing nothing but driving with a big grin on my face. Luckily the dealer is filling up the tank when I take delivery!

He's had quite a few threads about getting his new car but I don't think he's said when he gets it. It may well be the end of this week as he's been on a mission with the threads

I still have to wait seven weeks!
I am enjoying this site though, I have been bedridden with my MS recently and am using my computer to stop me getting too bored. I think my Labrador puppy is getting jealous, she likes my undivided attention, even my wife says the dog gets more attention than her! |

Hoping to be better by the weekend, my two sporting passions, boxing and F1 are both on. The fights on at 3am, that will be an early start.
I'm driving my wife bonkers too, keep talking about the new car, its funny however many new cars you have the novelty never wears off. You're quite a prolific poster youself Angie4m!! |

A very early start and yes I do agree the novelty never wears off and its funny how you love your car until you get your new one (usually) although I do wish I had kept my Mini
