Call your dealer and ask for service desk. The will know. I just looked in my manual, it only states what viscocity oil to use at different tempertures, not what kind of oil.

I had a sticker on mine suggesting Castrol. Have you actually read the manual. Try page 365....
As far as brands I am using Castrol Edge 0W-30 for DIESELS, don't know about the i-VTEC |

I have the 1.8 i-vtec. I checked the viscosity guide for the engine and I am using GTX MAGNATEC. Good quality oil that was also used for the outgoing TYPE R.
