The panel filter sounds sweet and whistles when accelerating......does it improve performance?....I had mine in for a day and noticed a slight improvement in pickup and major improvement in sound so it may be placebo effect of thinking it sounded faster...

The next day I also had the car remapped....so the improvement in acceleration is superb.

The pipercross online shop has the part you are looking for....here is the text from my order which was in April this year.....

For an 8th Gen Civic 2.2 Diesel

Order details:1 x PP1712
Colour: N/A
Unit price: £34.11

Sub Total: £34.11
Shipping: £5.95

Grand Total: £40.06

If you have any queries, please contact customer services on 0845 430 3400 or email customerservice@thepipercrossshop.co.uk.
Many Thanks,

What I need is only sound cause performance is more then enough what we have as standard. It's a bit the sound of the 2.2 that I don't like

You will notice a whistle as the turbo winds up, that to me was inaudible before fitting the Pipercross filter. Its a pleasant sound really
Economy is improved too, achieved over 60mpg on last long run. (see previous post of mine relating, with pic).
Its a simple mod, worthwhile in my opinion.

ok I've seen your post. This is impressive and also with a very nice sound in our 2.2, this is a must to get to our Civic's. The www.ThePipercrossShop.co.uk site is not offering it on their site. Have you get any part numbers or maybe a link on Ebay maybe I will find one as good as yours?

Here is the link i just ordered it yesturday and waiting for delivery. The web site a bit confusing becouse it states Civic (FN) 2.2 CDTi 01/06 - some people fink it is from 2001 to 2006 but it is for our civic it is the date 01(january) 2006 on ;] if you know what i mean ;]

I don't know if I'm mistaken or not, but the link you showed me is just a replacment on the air panel filter. What I thought was that for increased MPG and nicer sound in our machine, we need the Pipercross induction kits filters.

There is no induction kit awailable on any site for our cars, we are talking just about the panel filter replacement

that's why I'm wondering. This post is of an induction panel filter and that is the one that improves MPG and nicer sound in our machine not the panel filter replacement as you are saying. We need to find one to buy or else we email Pipercross maybe they will do again like they did with a group buy in another post in here.
